I can't stand my Cpap Machine!!!
I have Claustrophobia and I have a difficult time wearing my mask. I need to have a full face mask because I'm a mouth breather. I wonder if I should try other masks out.
I also have night sweats which only makes the mask more uncomfortable. I try but never seem to beable to keep the mask on all night.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have one that just fits into the nostrils, like an oxygen hose - not the full mask kind. I found that after a couple of nights with it I began to sleep with my mouth closed. Also, I HATED this machine and tried for years before I finally "got" it. What helped me was a sleeping pill. My doctor gave me a prescription for a mild sleeping pill. She told me to try it for 2 weeks every night before I gave up. I didn't need the enitre prescription. After about 5 days I was sleeping with it on my own. Don't get me wrong, I still HATE having to sleep with it...I miss the feel of my pillow against my cheek...so soothing and relaxing. However, I am sleeping better and feeling better during the day. Good luck to you.
We all struggle with not being able to just get in bed and sleep without worrying abou****er level in the humidifier, and noise if we move. I had a severe problem as I gained weight. My bi level pressure was seventeen in and eleven out. It sounded like a dust buster if I moved at night. Yet, if it was secure it was just a mild sound.
I went through nose pillow stage...where the air just goes up your nose, and five different full nose masks, all promised to be better for me... How many times can you complain about your mask, I wondered. Were you unable to sleep in a nice comfortable bed while children were sleeping in doorways all over the world?
I had so much air flow on my eyes when I was tested for glaucoma I had to have eye drops. My eyes were too dry. I told my doctor it was the constant air flow from my bipap machine.
Now, I say I use my cpap machine as a crutch. I stay up far too late some nights. I get full rest though when I do sleep thanks to that darn cpap machine. I still wake up with marks on my face. I was promised that this new mask would work even with loose straps and not put air on my face. It doesn't seem to work for me.

Try a "gel" mask. They are for mouth breathers. (I'm one, too". They are softer and cling to your face. You can even sleep on your side. I went through about 7 masks before I discovered this one. Hope this helps. Dianne

I had the pillow mask that went just under my nostrils. It was much better than the huge mask. However, After surgery I was lucky enough after losing 180 lbs I dont have to have it anymore.
I would just suggest u try different masks out.
